Kilifi Boatyard

A working boatyard with secure serviced moorings. We are also home to a relaxed and chilled beach bar with fresh seafood and cold Tusker available 364 days of the year!

The yard is a full service facility that can carry out slipping, storage and repair of yachts.

Kilifi Boatyard’s relaxed beach bar and restaurant looks out over the Kilifi Creek and the moorings.

The Floating House is a self catering, permanently moored house boat just off shore of the boatyard and sleeps six: one double, bunk beds and a twin. The Galley has a small fridge, single burner hot plate, microwave and kettle.

Crab Shack

Watamu, Kenya

Arrive by tuk-tuk, stroll over a 200-metre boardwalk high up among the mangrove trees to reach this rustic wooden stilt hut, which boasts panoramic views over Mida Creek. The restaurant is run by the Dabaso Creek Conservation Group, an eco-initiative that promotes conservation of the surrounding area and provides education for local fishing communities. Crack open a cold beer and tuck into locally farmed shellfish and flavoursome African sides. The signature crab samosas with refreshing tomato and mango salad are the perfect prelude to grilled lobster and generously spiced vegetarian curries.
