Nassor Said is a class four student and comes from a poverty-stricken family in Mamburui village, in Magarini constituency, Kilifi County. The 11-year-old-boy earned a spot in the Ksh. 2 billion budget Italian Tolo Tolo comic drama film.

During a scouting mission at Mamburui village, Checco Zalone, a prominent Italian actor spotted Said and thought he was fit for the movie. Said was among a cast of about 130 artists and crew drawn from both Italy and Kenya. Said was selected as the main supporting actor.

After a tour of Malindi, the location manager leaned on shooting the film in Malindi as opposed to the original plan to shoot in Senegal. The movie is expected to put Kilifi and Malindi on the map, opening up more opportunities for the tourism hub and the film industry.

Executive Director, De Feo said that Said’s life would change for the better. His education to the university would be catered for, and payments from the role he plays in the ‘Tolo Tolo’ movie will be kept safe until he is all grown up.
